Computer Training For Windows & Mac OS X

Computer Training From Altitude Data
An important part of our computer repair service philosophy is training and education. We offer computer training on a number of different operating systems including Microsoft Windows 8, Windows 7, Windows XP and XP Pro, Mac OS X 10.5 Leopard, 10.6 Snow Leopard, 10.7 Lion and 10.8 Mountain Lion. We also provide training on VMWare for Windows and VMWare Fusion for Mac. VMWare enables you to run multiple operating systems called "Guests" off of one computer. So if you love Windows, but want to see what Linux is like, you can run it simultaneously right from your Windows desktop. I use a Mac and have Windows 7, Fedora 17 Linux, and Open Solaris (Unix) all installed via VMWare Fusion, and can run them all at the same time. If you have a particular training request, just let us know and we can put together a course specific to your individual needs. Whatever computer training you may need need, we can help. We can deliver it "one on one" or for groups, such as seniors.

In addition to walking you through the lesson in detail, we will also provide you with written documentation which includes screen shots of each step of the process. This way you have something to refer back to if you need it at a later date. At Altitude Data, we believe that offering education, when needed, is a necessary part of the service and repair process. For information about group training and senior discounts contact us for a free consultation.

Computer Training Focus

Our computer training focus is designed for the beginner to intermediate level user. We offer basic training on Microsoft Office including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access, Windows 8, Windows 7, Windows XP and Windows Vista. Other areas include database solutions especially on Microsoft SQL Server 2000 and SQL Server 2008. We also cover various Internet topics such as web browser selection, anti-virus software, and Internet security.

The days of Apple Mac computers being used solely by designers and hard-core Apple fans are long gone: due to their ease-of-use, stability and security. Since Mac computers are becoming firmly established as genuine alternatives to Windows PCs, we offer training on setting them up, installing and using Windows based productivity software such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Access as well as various Mac based programs. What's more, their intuitive interface and versatility makes them ideal machines for the seniors market. The Mac operating system, OS X, is renowned for being easy to use and also very efficient in terms of performance and security.
